In the Kyiv region, a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian; both were hospitalized
A traffic accident involving a motorcyclist and a female pedestrian occurred in the village of Pohreby, Brovary District, Kyiv Oblast. The woman was crossing the road in a place not designated for crossing when she was struck by a motorcycle.
Both parties involved in the accident sustained injuries. The victims were hospitalized to receive the necessary medical care.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the 39-year-old driver of a Yamaha motorcycle struck a 35-year-old woman. She was crossing the roadway in a place not designated for crossing.
Both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist sustained injuries in the collision. Medical personnel transported both victims to the hospital.
Investigators from the Brovary District Police Department have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules or rules for the operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles). Law enforcement officials are currently determining all the circumstances and details of the incident.
