The body of a 14-year-old boy, who had been missing since August 13, was found in the Odesa region
On August 15, a search team found the body of a 14-year-old boy on the coast of the Odesa region; he had gone missing at sea on the evening of August 13. The boy was found in the water approximately seven kilometers from where he went missing.
The police received a report on the evening of August 13 that a 14-year-old boy had gone missing while swimming in the sea in the Lyman community.
The search operation was conducted by police officers, divers from the State Emergency Service, and personnel from the State Border Guard Service and the Territorial Defense Forces.
Today, August 15, at around 4:00 p.m., the boy’s body was found in the water—approximately seven kilometers from where he went missing. It was brought ashore.
The body will be sent for a forensic medical examination to determine the cause of death.
Law enforcement officials urged the public not to disregard safety rules and restrictions. Beaches in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district are closed to visitors and swimming.
