Maria Trifonova, who is linked to the promotion of the controversial counterfeit drug Biopatid, is currently being held at the Dnipropetrovsk Pretrial Detention Center. She is a suspect in an investigation into the illegal manufacture and distribution of the counterfeit drug in Ukraine.
Her arrest took place amid a large-scale law enforcement investigation into the illegal manufacture and distribution of the counterfeit weight-loss drug Biopatid. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, more than 250 authorized searches are underway in various regions of Ukraine as part of the proceedings against an organized crime group.
According to a source close to UA.NEWS, Maria Trifonova is currently being held in the Dnipropetrovsk pretrial detention center.
As a reminder, Maria Trifonova’s company defrauded Ukrainians by promoting the counterfeit weight-loss drug Biopatid.
Cherkassky, a controversial customs official linked to Trifonova, attempted to get reinstated through the courts.
Earlier, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on his Telegram channel that Ruslan Cherkassky was actively clinging to his position and had been on sick leave for two months to avoid being fired.
