A 17-year-old Hungarian man who had been swept into Ukraine by the current was rescued on the Tisa River
Ukrainian border guards rescued a 17-year-old Hungarian citizen who, while relaxing on the Tisa River, was swept toward the Ukrainian shore by a strong current.
Hungarian border guards notified the Ukrainian side about two young men who had been swept away by the current. A boat was deployed for the search and rescue operation.
One of the young men was found, brought ashore, and given the necessary assistance. He was subsequently handed over to the Hungarian side.
According to the rescued man, he jumped into the water to help his 20-year-old friend, who was beginning to drown. However, the strong current carried him into Ukrainian territory.
The search for the 20-year-old Hungarian citizen continues. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine emphasized that the rapid current of the Tisa River poses a serious danger even to experienced swimmers.

Hungary has officially established the National Asset Recovery Agency, which will be responsible for locating and recovering state funds that were illegally appropriated in previous years.
