More than 1.4 million metric tons of grain were harvested in the Vinnytsia region
Farmers in the Vinnytsia region have already harvested more than 1.4 million metric tons of grain. The harvest is still underway, and this year’s average yield is so far higher than last year’s—59.6 centners per hectare.
The harvest campaign in Vinnytsia Oblast is ongoing. As of now, farmers have threshed 246,000 hectares of early grain and legume crops. This represents about 60% of the planned area. In total, farmers in Vinnytsia Oblast have already harvested over 1.4 million metric tons of grain. The largest portion was winter wheat—about 1.2 million metric tons. Its average yield also exceeds last year’s figures. The harvest of some crops has already been completed. In particular, farmers have fully harvested winter barley and peas.
At the same time, the harvest of spring barley, spring wheat, and rye is continuing in the region. Farmers are also wrapping up the harvest of winter rapeseed. Currently, about 80% of the area has been threshed. The harvest campaign in Vinnytsia Oblast is ongoing, so the final harvest figures will be known once the harvest is complete.
