Two schoolchildren died in a traffic accident in Volyn — police

Two teenagers—a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl—were killed in a traffic accident in the Kamin-Kashirsky District of Volyn Oblast.

This was reported by the Volyn Oblast Police.

The accident occurred on April 12 at around 6:00 p.m. between the villages of Khotsun and Svalovychi.

According to preliminary data, the 17-year-old driver of a BMW lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and rolled over several times.

As a result of the accident, two passengers died at the scene.

The driver and two other passengers were unharmed.

The driver was detained. A criminal case has been opened regarding the accident for violating traffic rules, which led to the deaths of several people.

In the Chernihiv region, eight people were injured in a traffic accident.

Also, in Rivne region, road workers were charged in connection with an accident that left three people dead.
