In the Zhytomyr region, rescuers saved two beavers that had become trapped
In the Zhytomyr region, rescue workers freed two beavers that had become trapped between a sluice gate and a dam. The incident occurred in the town of Andrushivka in the Berdychiv district.
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The animals were spotted by a local fisherman—the beavers had fallen into a depth of about 5 meters and could not get out on their own. Frightened and exhausted, they were doomed without outside help.

Rescuers arrived at the scene along with a veterinarian. Carefully lowering a ladder, they organized the rescue operation step by step. The most difficult part was lifting the animals to the surface, but using improvised equipment, they managed to do so safely.
After the rescue, the exhausted beavers were handed over to the veterinarian for examination and necessary treatment.
This story had a happy ending, reminding us once again that even the smallest life is worth the effort and care.
Earlier in the Lviv region, rescuers extinguished a fire in a poultry house. They managed to save over 23,000 chicks.
