Warm, dry weather with temperatures up to 25°C is expected in Ukraine on May 4

On Monday, May 4, partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are forecast across Ukraine, except in the southeastern regions, where rain is possible during the day.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. Daytime temperatures will rise to 14–19°F, and in the northern and western regions, the air will warm up to 20–25°F.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 3–8°C, though it will be cooler in the east of the country—from 1 to 6°C—and ground frosts of 0–3°C are possible. Winds are expected to be variable in direction at 3–8 m/s, while in the southeast, a northeasterly wind of 7–12 m/s with gusts up to 15–20 m/s is forecast. In Kyiv and the surrounding region, variable cloudiness without precipitation will prevail, with daytime temperatures reaching 20–25°C, and 23–25°C in the capital.

Forecasters note that such weather conditions are typical for early May, despite the threat of night frosts in the eastern part. Earlier, experts also commented on forecasts of abnormal heat during the summer, a topic frequently discussed in the media of Russia and other neighboring countries. The current forecast confirms a gradual warming across most of Ukraine at the start of the workweek.

As a reminder, no significant precipitation is expected across Ukraine during the first weekend of May. Nighttime frosts are possible, while daytime temperatures will range between 10–15°C, and in some places will rise to +23°C.
