NABU conducted another round of searches in the case involving alleged bribes to SBU officials
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducted new searches as part of a criminal investigation into the possible receipt and granting of improper benefits, illegal enrichment, and abuse of office. The case involves Security Service of Ukraine officials Pavlo Dudar and Ivan Sukhorada.
Sources in the Office of the President reported this to UA.NEWS.
According to the publication, NABU detectives searched the home of Oleksandr Poternak, the former director of drilling at JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya.” They seized his cell phones, which were subsequently impounded and deemed material evidence.
Investigators believe that one of the SBU officials may have received an unlawful benefit in the form of the right to use a 2023 BMW X5. The car belonged to “ENERGO-TRADE LTD,” a limited liability company headed by Iryna Melnyk, Poternak’s partner.
According to investigators, in 2024, Melnyk issued a power of attorney to the wife of one of the SBU officials, authorizing her to represent the company’s interests and use the vehicle.
Separately, detectives are investigating possible illicit enrichment linked to the family of Ivan Sukhorada. According to the investigation, his father, Oleksandr, acquired shares in three Indonesian companies—“BALI REALESTAT ABADI,” “OKANE MOCHI MANDIRI,” and “INKOPPOL DATA INTERNATIONAL.” He also invested funds in the construction of the AQUAMARINE residential complex in Indonesia and bequeathed shares in these companies to his son.
The home of the SBU official’s father was also searched. Detectives seized a cell phone, which they deemed to be material evidence and placed under seizure.
In addition, NABU conducted searches at the residences of Artem Solonik and Oleksandr Nagachevsky. Investigators believe they may have been involved in booking hotel rooms at the Radisson Blu Resort in Bukovel for the family of SBU official Pavlo Dudar.
Mobile phones were also seized from them, which the court has placed under seizure.
At the same time, the circumstances described above represent the investigation’s version of events. A final legal assessment of the suspects’ actions and their guilt can only be determined following a court proceeding.
