Following Syrsky's resignation, Member of Parliament Bezugla visited the front lines to conduct an inspection
On August 15, Member of Parliament Mariana Bezuhla stated that she had visited the front lines for the first time since the appointment of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to her, following the change in military leadership, she sensed a “breath of fresh air”—the soldiers’ morale and decision-making approaches had changed.
Mariana Bezuhla noted that she had not stopped traveling to combat zones even while Oleksandr Syrskyi was in office, although the former commander-in-chief did everything in his power to prevent this. That is why the MP bypassed headquarters and worked directly at the positions of unmanned systems units and in frontline cities.
Bezugla claims that she was trying in this way to gather information about the situation on the front lines, particularly regarding problems with the defense of Donetsk Oblast. She stated that these issues had previously been swept under the rug, while resources were diverted to other areas.
“It was a difficult yet extremely candid period that left a lasting impression of cooperation and the search for the truth,” the lawmaker wrote.
After her trip to the front lines, Bezuhla said she sensed changes within the troops.
“Now, of course, there’s a breath of fresh air in the troops. Some of the repressed commanders whom I know and respect have already returned from exile, and in just a week, a different dynamic in decision-making and a renewed fighting spirit are already noticeable. People are less constrained,” she asserts.
According to the lawmaker, one of the priorities now is to halt the advance of Russian troops toward Kramatorsk. Certain systematic changes are already taking place in this direction.
Bezugla also wrote about the situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to her, the Ukrainian military quickly completed the task of driving Russian forces out of the region, after which it became possible to focus attention on other fronts.
“This required just a few decisions, which were delayed and not adopted,” she noted.
“It’s hard to say what will happen next and how, but the troops remain hopeful,” the MP concluded.

As a reminder, Bezuhla accused Oleksandra Ustinova of having ties to the Office of the President and of hiding her husband from mobilization.
Earlier, MPs Ustinova and Bezuhla had a public spat on social media. Ustinova called her colleague an “animal” for her post about the death of MP Yaroslav Rushchyshyn.
