Renowned Lviv pediatric surgeon Igor Volk has died

Pediatric surgeon Ihor Volk, who devoted nearly 40 years to working at “Okhmatdyt,” has died in Lviv.

Hospital officials reported that for many years he headed the department of purulent surgery, served as a mentor to several generations of doctors, and helped save young patients.

Colleagues expressed their condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who knew and appreciated Igor Stepanovich.

The funeral service will take place on October 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Martyr Klymentiy Sheptytsky of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, located at 1 Kryvonos Street.
