The Spanish Ambassador to Ukraine has concluded his diplomatic mission
On Monday, August 17, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga met with Ricardo López-Aranda Hagu, Spain’s ambassador to Ukraine. The meeting took place to mark the conclusion of the ambassador’s diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the parties noted the intensification of Ukrainian-Spanish dialogue in the defense, economic, and trade spheres.
“The interlocutors noted a significant intensification of Ukrainian-Spanish dialogue in the defense, economic, and trade spheres. They paid particular attention to the development of partnership in the field of joint arms production,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Separately, Sibiga and López-Aranda Hagu discussed joint weapons production, which is set to become one of the areas for further development of defense cooperation between the two countries.
The parties also discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Spain in Latin America and the Caribbean.
One of the key areas of cooperation remains countering Russian disinformation and strengthening Ukraine’s position on the international stage.
Andriy Sibiga thanked Spain for its consistent support of Ukraine’s future membership in the European Union.
The minister also expressed gratitude for Spain’s support of all EU sanctions packages against Russia.

Earlier, the new German Ambassador to Ukraine, Boris Ruge, arrived in Kyiv and began his duties in his new position.
