In the Kyiv region, a man opened fire on two people from a car
In the Vyshhorod District, a 51-year-old Kyiv resident injured a man and a woman by shooting at them from a car near the village of Rovzhi. The suspect was detained and taken into custody without the right to bail; he faces up to 15 years in prison.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on July 27 of this year near a hunting reserve. A car approached the man and woman, who were in the vicinity, and an unidentified person suddenly fired a shot from the vehicle and immediately fled. As a result of the attack, the man sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the woman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Medical personnel notified law enforcement about the victims.
During the investigation, police identified and detained the suspect, a 51-year-old Kyiv resident. During searches of his residence, his car, and other premises, authorities seized a firearm, ammunition, and a silencer.
Investigators from the Kyiv Region Police Investigation Department, under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, charged the suspect with attempted premeditated murder and illegal handling of firearms and ammunition (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115, and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pretrial investigation is ongoing.
In court, the suspect was ordered to be held in pretrial detention as the only available preventive measure.

Earlier, a drunk man opened fire from a balcony in central Kyiv.
As a reminder, a shooting occurred in the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv on the morning of September 3, resulting in one person being wounded. The perpetrator fled after the incident and is currently being sought by law enforcement.
A video of a conflict involving gunfire between officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kyiv is circulating online. The released footage shows a verbal altercation and scuffle between those involved in the incident, which later escalated into SBU special forces firing their weapons at GUR operatives.
As a reminder, a shooting occurred in Kyiv, and law enforcement officers were spotted at the scene.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the situation involving the shooting between representatives of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kyiv “absolutely shameful” and ordered a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
