The National Security and Defense Council will coordinate the protection of logistics and recovery efforts following Russian attacks
The National Security and Defense Council will coordinate the physical protection of logistics infrastructure, responses to Russian attacks, and the restoration of damaged facilities.
According to NSDC Secretary Ihor Klymenko, the government is also working to provide additional support to businesses affected by the attacks, diversify logistics routes, and identify backup sites for business operations.
Separately, plans are being developed to scale up private air defense capabilities to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure and businesses against Russian attacks.
Klymenko noted that Russia’s massive strikes on warehouses and logistics centers pose a serious challenge to the Ukrainian economy. The relevant decisions are scheduled to be approved at meetings of the National Security and Defense Council and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters.

On August 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with National Security and Defense Council Secretary Ihor Klymenko. During the meeting, the parties agreed on a number of personnel decisions and discussed further strengthening the work of the National Security and Defense Council.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has approved the Capital Resilience Plan. Its implementation has already begun, according to NSDC Secretary Ihor Klymenko. He stated that the document outlines a set of measures to enhance Kyiv’s readiness for potential challenges and ensure the city’s stable functioning.
