On the evening of July 17, Russian forces carried out yet another attack on civilians in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This time, an FPV drone struck a bus belonging to an agricultural enterprise in Marhanets, which was transporting people home after work.

According to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, a Russian drone struck the vehicle as the agricultural company’s employees were returning home. “In the late afternoon, the Russians struck the agricultural company’s bus with an FPV drone. The employees were returning home from work on it,” the regional head said.

One person was killed and others were injured

A 48-year-old man was killed in the attack. According to the head of the Regional State Administration, he died at the scene from his injuries. Eight other people were also injured. Among the injured are two women and six men. All of the victims were taken to hospitals, where they are receiving the necessary medical care.

“A 48-year-old man died at the scene. Two women and six men were injured. All of them have been hospitalized,” said Oleksandr Hanzha. No information on the condition of the victims has been released yet. Medical personnel continue to treat them.

Civilians Were Caught in the Crossfire

The bus, which was attacked by Russian forces, was being used to transport employees of an agricultural company. The passengers had finished their shift and were heading home when a Russian FPV drone struck.

Such drones are often used for precision strikes. At the same time, Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly emphasized that Russian troops are increasingly using them against civilian infrastructure and civilians. Law enforcement officials are documenting the aftermath of the attack and gathering all necessary evidence of yet another war crime committed by Russia.

Margarets regularly comes under fire

Marganets is located near the front lines and is regularly subjected to Russian attacks. The occupiers use artillery, attack drones, and other types of weaponry, putting local residents in constant danger. Despite the danger, businesses, public utilities, and critical infrastructure continue to operate in the city. That is why workers are forced to commute to and from work every day, risking their lives due to the constant shelling.

Local authorities are once again urging residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety guidelines, as the threat of new strikes by Russian forces remains high. Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, reported this on Telegram.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, there were 268 combat engagements on the front lines, and nine areas where Russian troops were concentrated were struck.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces killed three residents of the Kherson region and wounded 19 others.
