The SBU has updated its hotline number
The Security Service of Ukraine has updated its contact information for public inquiries—from now on, the agency can be reached by dialing the short number 1516.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
Calls to the new number are free from both landlines and mobile phones of all carriers within Ukraine.
“The SBU emphasizes that Russian special services are currently actively attempting to recruit Ukrainians to carry out terrorist attacks, sabotage, arson, and other illegal activities. The Security Service of Ukraine urges citizens to remain vigilant, not to succumb to provocations, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the hotline,” the statement reads.
The agency urges people to call 1516 in the following cases:
- if you have information about the preparation of terrorist attacks, sabotage, or other illegal activities;
- if strangers approach you with proposals regarding arson, transporting unknown objects, or surveillance;
- if you have discovered suspicious objects or individuals;
- if you are aware of online resources used for recruitment;
- if you have any information about the activities of Russian intelligence services.
“All information received is thoroughly verified. The confidentiality of reports is guaranteed. Your call or message could save lives—both yours and those around you. Do not ignore the threat; stay vigilant and alert—contact the Security Service of Ukraine at 1516,” the SBU adds.

As a reminder, law enforcement recently exposed and detained a dangerous spy ring that, acting on orders from Russian military intelligence, was planning a series of contract killings in the capital.
The Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine detained another agent of the Russian GRU in Rivne.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Kharkiv region who was gathering data for missile and bomb strikes on Ukrainian military positions in the Kupiansk direction.
In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained a Russian agent who, under the guise of fulfilling defense contracts, was coordinating airstrikes on Kyiv.
Prior to this, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an enemy agent in Zaporizhzhia who was attempting to infiltrate a strategic enterprise within the defense-industrial complex.
As a reminder, an SBU employee was detained while receiving a $68,000 bribe.
The SBU also exposed seven enemy agitators in five regions of Ukraine.
