Every day, about 100 people are denied permission to leave Ukraine — State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Every day, Ukrainian border guards deny entry to approximately a hundred citizens. Most often, this applies to men who do not have a valid reason to leave the country during martial law.

This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

At the same time, denials are issued not only to men but also to women and children. According to Demchenko, common reasons include expired passports or errors in the documentation required for minors to travel abroad.

In particular, if a child is traveling with a third party, notarized consent for departure must be provided by both parents. Border guards may also deny entry for violating this requirement.

The “Palanka–Mayaki–Udobne” border crossing on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border has temporarily suspended processing of citizens and vehicles due to a technical glitch in the border service’s information systems.
