The High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Serhiy Kropiva, a top official at the Office of the Prosecutor General, setting bail at 120 million hryvnias
The High Anti-Corruption Court ordered that Serhiy Kropiva, deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation at the Office of the Prosecutor General, be held in custody with the option of posting bail in the amount of 120 million hryvnias, although prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) had requested 200 million.
The official, who is a defendant in the NABU “Carthage” case under the alias “Chancellor,” is suspected of covering up a network of fraudulent call centers and laundering assets. According to the investigation, he is accused of laundering 41.7 million hryvnias while working at the OGPU and 48.2 million hryvnias during his tenure as deputy head of the Odesa Regional Administration.
According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Kropiva was under the patronage of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, organizing renovation work for him at his home in Kozin and private family trips to Madrid. In addition, the suspect collaborated with the unofficial supervisor of call centers and president of FC “Kharkiv,” Bohdan Boiko, warning him about searches at “unfriendly” call centers in Dnipro, and also maintained contact with a relative of Artem Radchenko, a hacker wanted internationally by the U.S.
The investigation revealed that the official received leaked information from banks regarding NABU’s inquiries and prepared for investigative actions by storing his assets in cryptocurrency in cold wallets and setting up remote data deletion from his phones. During searches of his workplace, cash and luxury watches were seized.

Earlier reports indicated that NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) were conducting a large-scale special operation at the Office of the Prosecutor General regarding a case of possible “protection” of fraudulent call centers.
Prosecutor General Kravchenko disappeared after the NABU and SAP operation began. According to sources in political circles speaking to UP, Kravchenko drove into the government district, after which no one saw him.
Later, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko was found and stated that he had no connection whatsoever to the cover-up of illegal call centers and had not issued any instructions to facilitate their operations.
