Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced a service that allows passengers to order a book directly when purchasing a ticket
Ukrzaliznytsia has launched a new service for passengers that allows them to order a book directly while booking a ticket through the app and receive it right on their shelf at the start of their trip.
The initiative aims to support Ukrainian publishers who continue to create and publish literature under the extremely difficult conditions of a full-scale war, despite enemy shelling and damage to printing houses and warehouses.
At the same time, the company has featured book offers prominently at the top of the partner services section of the “Iron Friends” loyalty program. In the app, passengers are offered print, e-books, and audiobooks for adults and children, discounts, gift certificates, book gifts, as well as the opportunity to exchange accumulated “hugs” bonuses for book bonuses.
Currently, passengers can order a book with their ticket on international routes to Poland (Przemyśl, Chełm), Hungary (Budapest), Moldova (Chișinău), and Romania (Bucharest). In addition, the service is available on flagship domestic trains, including No. 81/82 “Sakura” (Kyiv–Uzhhorod), No. 95/96 “Hutsulshchyna” (Kyiv–Rakhiv), No. 01/02 “Yednist” (Kharkiv–Rakhiv), No. 15/16 “Les Kurbas” (Kharkiv–Ivano-Frankivsk), No. 17/18 “Skovoroda” (Kharkiv–Uzhhorod), No. 79/80 “Sicheslav” (Dnipro–Lviv), No. 106/105 “Chornomorets” (Odesa–Kyiv), No. 43/44 “Stefania” (Ivano-Frankivsk–Dnipro), No. 7/8 “Bukovyna” (Kyiv–Chernivtsi), and No. 92/91 “Leopolis” (Lviv–Kyiv).

Dozens of Ukrzaliznytsia trains have been running with significant delays due to the consequences of Russian attacks, and some trains are running more than 15 hours late. The company is working to restore service and asks passengers to check the current status of their trains before traveling.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” has temporarily waived fees for all paid waiting rooms at train stations across the country. Passengers will be able to stay there free of charge until Friday morning while railway workers work to restore schedules following the massive airstrike.
