Forecaster Didenko explained when the heat wave in Ukraine will ease

Hot weather will continue in Ukraine over the coming week, with air temperatures reaching up to +36°C, and the heat is expected to ease off sometime after August 8. This was reported on August 2 by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.

According to her, maximum temperatures throughout the week will range from +30 to +36°C, and in some areas, they may be several degrees higher due to intense solar heating.

The meteorologist noted that dry weather will prevail across most of the country. Only on the evening of August 3 are brief thunderstorms possible in the far northwest and north.

In Kyiv, dry and hot weather is also expected on August 3, with temperatures ranging from +32 to +34°C. According to Didenko, the heat will only intensify going forward.

At the same time, preliminary forecasts indicate that temperatures will begin to gradually drop by the end of the week. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from +18 to +23°C, reaching up to +25°C in some areas, which will make the weather more comfortable.

Earlier, meteorologist Vitaliy Postrygan explained that the heat in Ukraine was caused by a so-called “heat dome” formed under the influence of the Azores High. According to his forecast, high temperatures will persist at least until August 7.

Didenko reported this on Facebook.

As a reminder, hot weather with mostly no rainfall is expected in Ukraine tomorrow, August 3. Thermometers will reach up to +38° in some areas.

A new heat wave with temperatures up to +35° will sweep across Ukraine in early August.

The heatwave in Belgium has caused the highest rate of excess mortality in Europe.
