A man was detained in Odesa after opening fire on TCC employees: four people were wounded
A 32-year-old man was detained in Odesa who, according to preliminary police reports, fired shots at employees of the district territorial center for recruitment and social support. Four employees of the center were injured as a result of the incident, the Odesa Regional Police reported.
The shooting occurred during public awareness events in one of the city’s districts. The police received a report of the incident around 7:30 p.m. According to the Odesa-based publication “Dumskaya,” the incident took place on Kosmonavtiv Street.
Police have preliminarily determined that an unknown individual fired several shots from a pistol at the RTCK employees. According to “Dumskaya,” one of the injured was hospitalized with a serious back injury, while the other three later sought medical attention on their own.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect is believed to have fired a pistol chambered for Flobert cartridges. The weapon will be sent for forensic examination. The information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The Odesa Regional Operational Command and Joint Staff confirmed an armed attack on military personnel while they were performing their official duties. The Khadzhibey District Prosecutor’s Office in Odesa is overseeing the proceedings.
