Syrsky enrolled in the doctoral program at the National Defense University
After stepping down from his post, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi enrolled in a doctoral program at the National Defense University of Ukraine.
After his dismissal, Syrskyi underwent a routine medical examination, was deemed fit for military service, and decided to remain in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He declined any civilian positions.
According to a source, the former Commander-in-Chief plans to systematize and share his military experience with Ukrainian and Western military personnel. He is currently discussing the topic of his future dissertation.

A ceremony to transfer authority to the new military leadership took place at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days. The new term begins on August 2, so both measures will remain in effect at least until October 31, 2026.
