The Ukrainian World Congress and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation
On August 28, the World Congress of Ukrainians and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed during an official visit by a UWC delegation to Ukraine to mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of independence.
The memorandum was signed during the meeting by UWC President Pavlo Grod and Ukraine’s Minister of Youth and Sports Matvii Bidnyi. The document provides for joint initiatives for Ukrainian youth in Ukraine and abroad, the development of cooperation with youth organizations, and the strengthening of Ukrainian identity around the world.
“The areas of youth, sports, and identity are key to Ukraine’s future. We must support and develop youth institutions in communities and expand government projects for Ukrainian youth around the world,” emphasized UWC President Pavlo Grod.
Special attention was given to international advocacy for Ukraine and countering the dangerous trend of normalizing Russia in the global sports arena.
“Ukraine is a global nation, and we cannot allow the normalization of Russia in sports. This requires media, public, and diplomatic influence. And here, the support of Ukrainians in communities around the world is extremely important,” said Minister Bidnyi.
He also thanked the UWC for supporting the “Embassy of Ukrainian Values” initiative, which helps represent Ukrainian voices and values around the world. According to Matviy Bidnyi, there are currently about 2 million young Ukrainians living outside Ukraine, who represent a powerful resource for the nation.

Earlier, the government announced the development and improvement of youth housing programs.
Danilo Getmantsev, chairman of the parliamentary committee, announced the launch of a large-scale government program for affordable housing, which is expected to cover about 1 million Ukrainian families.
In Ukraine, banks remain optimistic about the development of lending in 2026. More than three-quarters of financial institutions plan to increase the volume of business lending, and expectations for growth in household loans have reached their highest level since the beginning of 2021.
