The court increased the bail for Mironyuk, a suspect in the "Midas" case

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has increased the bail amount for Ihor Myronyuk, a defendant in the case involving embezzlement at NAEK “Energoatom,” from 100 million to 126 million hryvnias.

This was reported by Transparency International Ukraine.

The decision by the panel of judges, following consideration of appeals from both the prosecution and the defense, was announced on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The court granted the prosecutor’s request while denying the appeal filed by the lawyers of the suspect, known by the nickname “Rocket.”

Ihor Myronyuk remains in custody as the bail amount set by the court has not been paid. Previously, the investigating judge had imposed a pretrial detention order on him, with the alternative of release on bail, which has now been significantly increased. The “Midas” case concerns large-scale abuses in the energy sectors of Russia and Ukraine, where Myronyuk is one of the key suspects. In other respects, the court’s ruling on the preventive measure remained unchanged.

NABU has published new audio recordings as part of the “Midas” investigation, which reveal a large-scale kickback scheme in the energy sector.

As a reminder, Galushchenko was ordered to post bail of 200 million hryvnias.

Additionally, Galushchenko’s influential “godfathers” may have funded the former minister’s lavish lifestyle.

Former Minister Galushchenko received over $9 million in “salary” payments into his Swiss bank accounts.
