Three traitors from the Donetsk region were sentenced to 15 years
Three residents of the Donetsk region were sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason.
According to the investigation, they passed information to Russian intelligence agencies that the enemy could have used to launch attacks against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
One of the convicted men, a resident of Kostiantynivka, began collaborating with the occupiers in September 2024. Initially, he passed on military intelligence via a pro-Russian Telegram channel, and later contacted FSB officers directly.
The second man, from Dobropillia, communicated with a Russian military officer he knew in early 2025. He not only passed on information about Ukrainian defenders but also personally checked locations of interest to the occupiers. In his correspondence, he also expressed his willingness to serve Russia.
Another convicted man, a resident of Druzhkivka, had been passing intelligence to a Russian handler since March 2025.
The traitors informed the enemy about the locations of Defense Forces personnel, ammunition unloading points, defensive fortifications, concentrations of military equipment, and the routes of armored vehicles. They also provided detailed descriptions of the locations of multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) and artillery firing positions, as well as launch sites for FPV drones.
The information was transmitted in the form of photographs, screenshots, text messages, and video messages. Their activities were exposed and halted in August 2025 and March 2026.
