Fuel Prices on April 5: How Much Do Gasoline, Diesel, and Natural Gas Cost at Gas Stations?

As of April 5, 2026, Ukraine’s largest gas station chains have adjusted fuel prices in response to the sharp rise in global oil prices.

The average price of A-95 gasoline at major gas stations has now stabilized at around 72.87 UAH per liter.

The situation with diesel fuel remains more tense—its average price is 88.43 UAH per liter.

In particular, the Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta chains have already raised their diesel prices, although they still offer the lowest prices on the market.

The highest prices for diesel fuel are currently being recorded at the “Okko,” “WOG,” and “Socar” chains.

The main reason for this price surge was the sharp escalation of the military conflict in the Middle East, which triggered destabilization of the global energy market.

To support citizens, the government has introduced a temporary compensation program under the “National Cashback” initiative.

From March 20 to May 1, 2026, Ukrainians can receive automatic refunds for fuel purchases at gas stations.

The program terms provide for a 15% cashback on diesel fuel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on autogas.

It is important to note that the maximum compensation amount is capped at 1,000 hryvnias per month per program participant.

As a reminder, the European Commissioner for Energy has warned of possible fuel rationing in the EU.

We also reported that South Korea is urging people to save every drop of fuel amid the crisis in Iran.
