In Kyiv, a man shot up a BMW because the road was blocked
In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District, a 46-year-old man fired several shots at a BMW following a domestic dispute. The shooting damaged the car’s trunk and rear window.
The incident occurred a few days ago on Dmytrivska Street. According to law enforcement officials, the 46-year-old Kyiv resident was walking down the street when he saw a BMW pulling out of a residential compound.
The driver stopped the car to close the gate, temporarily blocking the pedestrian’s path.
An argument broke out between the men, which ended in gunfire.
“The man did not like this situation, which led to an argument between them. During the altercation, the suspect fired several shots at the vehicle, damaging the trunk and the rear window, after which he fled,” the police report states.
Law enforcement officers quickly identified the man and tracked him down. During his arrest, they seized his weapon—an air revolver chambered for “Flobert” cartridges.
In connection with the incident, investigators from the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department notified the man that he was suspected of violating Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—hooliganism.
Thus, a routine conflict over a blocked passageway ended in gunfire and damage to a car, and the man now faces charges of hooliganism.
