According to these reports, the Kremlin has allegedly made a “final decision” regarding new strikes on Kyiv. These would target facilities critical to the city’s operations and economy.
Large warehouses, hypermarkets, and shopping centers are cited among the possible targets. After that, according to data provided by Smoliy, office complexes could come under attack. The list also includes Kyiv Metro stations, car dealerships, gas stations, and power distribution centers.
Smoliy claims that the alleged aim of such a plan is to inflict maximum economic and infrastructural damage on Kyiv. “The goal of such a plan is to completely collapse the economy and bring life in the capital to a standstill,” he wrote. According to widespread reports, Russian troops allegedly intend to target large retail and logistics facilities first. These include warehouses, hypermarkets, and shopping centers that supply the city with goods and provide a significant number of jobs.
The next stage could allegedly involve office buildings and other business infrastructure facilities. Car dealerships, gas stations, and energy facilities are mentioned separately. The reports pay particular attention to the metro. The Kyiv Metro is one of the capital’s key forms of public transportation.
