In Kropyvnytskyi, rescuers saved a pair of badgers from a well
In Kropyvnytskyi, emergency responders rescued two badgers that had spent several days in an abandoned well. After examining and treating the animals, they were released back into the wild.
The badgers were discovered by accident by water utility workers while inspecting utility lines. It turned out that the female was pregnant and was due to give birth soon.
According to the rescuers, both animals were exhausted and dehydrated. Employees of the State Emergency Service and specialists from a rehabilitation center joined the rescue operation and safely brought the badgers to the surface.

After being examined and given water, food, and necessary care, the animals quickly recovered and were returned to their natural habitat.

The Russian army struck the Poltava district, killing two people and raising the number of injured to 14, including six children.
