In Lviv, a 17-year-old got into a fight with a 33-year-old college instructor

Police are investigating the circumstances of a conflict that occurred late in the evening on September 19 on Volodymyr the Great Street in Lviv. An argument broke out between a 17-year-old teenager and a 33-year-old man, which later escalated into a fight.

As a result of the incident, two victims filed reports with the police.

According to the report, on September 19 at around 11:30 p.m., a conflict arose between a 17-year-old boy and a 33-year-old man, which later escalated into a fight. Medical personnel later diagnosed both with abrasions and bruises, and the two victims filed reports with the police. Information regarding this incident was entered into the registry on the grounds of criminal offenses under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional infliction of minor bodily injury). Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.

On Instagram, a user with the handle iryna_zaboclitska shared details of the incident; in particular, she stated that a fight broke out between her nephew Oleksandr and Oleg Pervachuk, an instructor at the IT College of Lviv Polytechnic National University and founder of the NGO “Lviv Regional Sumo Federation.” In her post, she claims that around 11:30 p.m., her nephew was walking a girl home. The young man picked up a plastic can and tossed it into the air, which sparked the conflict.

“It was right after that that the scumbag Pervachuk decided to ‘teach a lesson’ to the 17-year-old boy and show off his strength. He knocked Sasha to the ground and began beating him with his fists. A person with a track record in sumo and wrestling is well aware of his physical strength. And even more so—of the consequences of striking a 17-year-old teenager,” the Instagram post reads.

In the post, the woman noted that she had contacted the police and the college administration, demanding that the instructor be suspended from teaching.

“The shameful behavior of a person who cannot control his aggression cannot go unchecked. A person who cannot control his aggression and its manifestations has no place among children and people,” the author added.
