On August 15 in Lviv, a battery explosion caused a fire in an apartment on the third floor of a nine-story building. Rescuers saved six people, including two children, and the explosion also destroyed the shared wall between the apartments.
Due to heavy smoke, a man was unable to exit on his own. Using an extension ladder, rescuers reached him and evacuated him. The explosion destroyed the shared wall between the apartments, trapping two adults and two children in the neighboring unit. Rescuers entered the apartment using a ladder and brought the people outside. Another woman was evacuated together with police officers due to heavy smoke.
In total, rescuers saved six people, including two children. The fire has been extinguished. After being examined by medical personnel, all those rescued declined hospitalization.
