A building in Poltava is being repaired after Russian shelling
In Poltava, restoration work has begun on a high-rise building on Oleksandr Oksanchenko Street, which was damaged as a result of Russian shelling on March 24.
The building sustained damage to more than 93 windows in the apartments, 35 windows in the stairwells, the front door, a wall in one of the apartments, and the floor between the basement and the first floor.
The homeowners’ association received a 6.5 million hryvnia grant under the “VidnoviDIM” program. The Energy Efficiency Fund is covering 100% of the cost of the construction work.
Currently, construction workers are repairing the wall and floor slabs, as well as replacing the damaged windows. Next, they plan to repair the roof, foundation, and facade, as well as the heating, water supply, and sewage systems.
Two individual heating units will also be installed in the building, and doors in common areas will be replaced.

As a reminder, Russian forces deliberately struck a passenger train in the Odesa region with a Shahed drone, resulting in fatalities.
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration have released photographs of the locomotive damaged as a result of the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train following the strike.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
