Searches conducted at Poplavskyi’s premises in embezzlement case

Law enforcement authorities are conducting investigative actions in a case involving the alleged misappropriation of budget funds at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. According to investigators, the case concerns a suspected scheme to embezzle state funds on a particularly large scale.

The case involves former rector Mykhailo Poplavskyi.

The information was reported with reference to statements from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Office of the Prosecutor General, and sources within law enforcement agencies.

As part of the pre-trial investigation, more than 20 searches were conducted on Friday, March 27, at the residences of individuals involved, as well as on the premises of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.

During the searches, mobile phones, hard drives, and company seals were seized, which may contain evidence of illegal activity.
