Yaroslav Popenko, the son of the mayor of Pryluky, who was previously detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, has joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to available information, he has been assigned to a military unit in Pryluky as having limited fitness for service.
Popenko was previously detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, after which he was held in custody but released on bail.

It is reported that he was dismissed from a children’s and youth sports school the day before.
