Prozorro Market has added 11 new product categories for the military
The DOT Defense Procurement Agency has expanded the Prozorro Market catalog for military units. The number of available categories has increased from 4 to 15.
Now, military units can use decentralized funds to purchase necessary equipment more quickly without having to search for suppliers on their own. Among the new items are body armor, tactical footwear, field uniforms, and T-shirts.
Product range in the catalog
Previously, the system offered 4 items: pickup trucks, motorcycles, buggies, and ATVs.
The most in-demand items were:
pickup trucks (orders totaling nearly 144 million UAH);
buggies (total value of nearly 72 million hryvnias);
ATVs (total value of 10.4 million UAH).
Now, 11 new items of equipment and vehicles have been added to the list:
camouflage gear;
thermal underwear;
body armor;
electric winches for ATVs;
individual camouflage kits (ponchos);
pants for summer field uniforms;
short-sleeved T-shirts;
summer field uniforms;
jackets;
electric motorcycles;
tactical footwear.
Advantages of the New Approach to Procurement
In April 2026, the DOT Agency obtained the status of a centralized procurement organization (CPO). This allowed the Agency to take over the bureaucratic procedures that each military unit had previously carried out independently:
conducting market consultations;
standardizing technical requirements;
establishing qualification criteria;
verifying and selecting suppliers.
“As a CPO, the Agency takes on the portion of the work that each military unit previously had to perform on its own. We are gradually expanding Prozorro Market so that it can be used to meet an increasing number of the military’s standard needs,” said Arsen Zhumadilov, director of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA).
