With EU support, training centers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being modernized — Ministry of Defense

With the support of the European Union, Ukraine plans to modernize the training centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The project will cover several locations for training military personnel. It includes improving living conditions, developing infrastructure, and upgrading existing training facilities. The main goal is to create modern environments where military personnel can receive high-quality training that takes real combat experience into account," according to a statement on the Telegram channel.

It is noted that the project will be implemented under the auspices of EU bodies. The “Come Back Alive” Foundation will be responsible for its implementation in close cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.

All partner countries may contribute to funding the modernization of the training grounds. Denmark, which previously allocated approximately €33 million for the modernization of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ training centers, will act as the fund administrator.

The Ministry of Defense has procured nearly 100% of the military’s winter gear requirements.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Shablya MK19(M) remotely controlled combat module for use by the troops. It is equipped with an MK19 40-mm automatic grenade launcher. 

The Ministry of Defense has standardized and authorized the use of “Nebokray” mobile workshops within the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The system is designed for the repair and maintenance of drones.
