In Stryi, a teacher's assistant is suspected of assaulting a 2-year-old girl

At a kindergarten in Stryi, a teacher’s assistant is suspected of assaulting a 2-year-old girl. According to the investigation, the woman struck the child—who is temporarily staying at the facility—several times.

When the woman noticed that the 2-year-old girl had not asked to use the restroom in time, she began yelling at her and scolding her for her dirty clothes. During this incident, the kindergarten employee grabbed the child by the arm and struck her several times on the head with her own hand. While continuing to yell, she struck the girl three more times on the leg with her hand.

Under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office, the teacher’s assistant has been notified of her status as a suspect in the intentional infliction of blows that caused physical pain but did not result in bodily injury (Part 1 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The issue of suspending the suspect from her position is currently being considered.

The pretrial investigation is being conducted by the Stryi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Oblast.
