About 100 children remain in the mandatory evacuation zone in the Kherson region
In the Kherson region, approximately 95 children remain in the mandatory evacuation zone. In total, an estimated 130,000 people currently live in the region’s communities, 60,000 of whom reside in Kherson itself.
The total number of children in the region is about 10,600, of whom 4,800 live in the Kherson community. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies continue to evacuate civilians from the most dangerous areas; in particular, police evacuated a large family—a mother and her ten children—from the frontline village of Vyshneve.
This was reported by the news agency “Ukrinform,” citing an interview with Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
In settlements in the Donetsk region, where the forced evacuation of families with children is ongoing, 350 children from 299 families remain. The largest number of such children is in the Kramatorsk community, where 341 children from 291 families remain.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian drone attacked a vehicle carrying volunteers during a civilian evacuation.
