Ukraine has received €3.3 billion from the EU for its most urgent defense needs

Ukraine has received another tranche of €3.3 billion from the European Union as part of the Ukraine Support Loan program. The government will use the funds to finance priority defense needs, including the purchase of missiles and drones.

According to the head of government, the funding will be used, in particular, to purchase missiles and drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“We have received another tranche of €3.3 billion from the EU as part of the Ukraine Support Loan. We will direct these funds toward priority defense needs, specifically the procurement of missiles and drones.

I would like to thank European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission, and all EU member states for their consistent support of Ukraine and for strengthening our Defense Forces,” Koretskyi stated.

This was reported with reference to Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.

The EU will transfer €3.3 billion to Ukraine for missiles and drones — Anadolu Agency.

Ukraine may receive approximately 20 billion euros from the EU defense fund.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy presented Ursula von der Leyen with Ukraine’s first Order of Europe.
