Ukrainian celebrities have reacted to Russia's massive attack on Kyiv

Ukrainian celebrities have expressed their sympathy for those affected and shared their experiences of surviving the night of the massive Russian attack.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched 1,560 drones and 56 missiles at Ukraine. Kyiv and the Kyiv region were hit hardest. A rescue operation is underway in the city after a nine-story residential building was struck, completely destroying the entrance. There are reports of 33 injured, including a one-month-old baby. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 18 families have lost their homes.

Ukrainian show business stars have already reacted to the enemy’s aggression on their social media and expressed their condolences to the victims. In particular, actor Andriy Fedinchik, the ex-husband of Natalka Denysenko, shared photos of the destroyed building on his Instagram

"Kyiv after the night attack," he wrote.

TV host Andriy Dzhedzula also posted a photo of a burning building and wrote about the enemy’s attack on his Instagram:

"Morning in Kyiv. With terrible consequences from a ruthless and barbaric enemy."

Pregnant TV host Solomiya Vitvitska also couldn’t hold back her emotions after the night she had endured. 

"Kyiv has never had such a loud night..." wrote the soon-to-be celebrity mom on her Instagram, adding emojis of broken hearts.

Meanwhile, young mom Lesya Nikityuk showed how she hid in a parking lot with her 10-month-old son Oscar. She wrote about the enemy’s terrifying attack on her Instagram:

"What a nightmare all night long... Thank you to all the services that help and save people."

MasterChef winner Liza Glinska also thanked the Ukrainian defenders and described how she waited in fear for morning to come. 

"It was a day of horror and fear. We’re alive; the girls slept soundly. Thank you to our air defense forces; thanks to you, we’ve made it to this morning again," she wrote on Instagram.

Masha Yefrosinina, on the other hand, emphasized that she hates Russians and will never forgive them for every sleepless night Ukrainians have endured.

"Inside, there is hatred for the cold and the panic of paralyzing fear. On the outside, a practiced calm... I will never forgive the Russians for a single hellish night. One of the most terrifying attacks on Kyiv, the region, and Ukraine," the host emphasized on Instagram and showed how she hid with her son during the shelling.

In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, search and rescue operations are ongoing on May 14 at the site of a Russian strike on an apartment building. According to the State Emergency Service, as of 10:00 a.m., two deaths have been confirmed, and 28 people have been rescued. Rescue workers, K-9 units, and psychologists are on the scene.

As a reminder, on the night of May 14 in Kyiv, the air raid alert lasted nearly eight hours. In the Kyiv region, seven people were injured in the Russian attack, including a three-year-old child. In Kyiv, more than 30 people have been wounded following the massive shelling.
