A new online service for children has been launched for Ukrainians living abroad
Ukrainians living abroad can now obtain a tax identification number for their children entirely online, without having to travel to Ukraine or wait in line at a consulate. This refers to the taxpayer identification number, which can now be obtained online. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The new service is the first fully digital consular procedure of this kind and operates through the “e-Consul” system or at Ukrainian diplomatic missions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that parents or legal guardians can submit an application in just a few steps without leaving the online system. “This is the first fully remote digital service in the history of the Ukrainian consular service,” emphasized Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
The ministry emphasizes that the service was created to simplify access to government services for Ukrainians abroad, especially for families with children. The RNO-KPP is an individual tax number used in many official procedures. It is required for processing passport documents, notarial acts, as well as accessing government registries and digital services.
In fact, this number is the key to most administrative services, so obtaining it is important even for children living abroad.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that this is only the first stage of the digitization of consular services. In the future, they plan to expand these services, and all Ukrainian citizens residing abroad will be able to obtain a tax number.
In this way, the government is gradually transitioning some consular procedures to a fully online format, which should reduce the burden on government agencies and simplify access to documents for Ukrainians in various countries around the world.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a large-scale program of housing subsidies for veterans and the families of fallen defenders. The program allocates over 5.6 billion hryvnias to support those most in need of their own housing.
