Ukrzaliznytsia has delivered 30 buses from Paris to the Kyiv region

Thirty buses donated by Paris to the Kyiv Regional State Administration as humanitarian aid have arrived in Ukraine. Ukrzaliznytsia, together with its partners, transported the buses from France to Kyiv in five days. The buses will soon begin operating on routes in cities across the Kyiv region.

 

The transportation of the buses was organized by Ukrzaliznytsia’s subsidiaries UZ Cargo Poland, the “Transport Logistics Center” branch, the “Liski” Transport and Logistics Center, and partners FORWARDIS and PKP Linia Hutnicza Szerokotorowa Spółka z o.o..

Railway workers were able to transport the buses from the French capital to the Ukrainian capital in five days. The train carrying the buses traveled through France and Germany on the 1,435 mm European gauge to Poland.

At the terminal in Poland, the buses were transferred to Ukrzaliznytsia’s 1,520 mm gauge flatcars, after which they departed for Kyiv. Soon, the buses will begin transporting passengers in cities across the Kyiv region. This is the second batch of buses from France. The previous batch of 30 units was delivered by rail at the end of last year.

As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsiais launching the purchase of commuter tickets via an app throughout Ukraine.
