Teachers will receive their updated minimum salaries in June
In June 2026, Ukrainian educators will receive salaries calculated based on updated financial indicators and mandatory state allowances.
Teachers’ minimum income is traditionally based on the Unified Pay Scale (UPS), but the final amount is higher than the base salary due to legally mandated supplements.
To independently determine the base salary according to the UTS, multiply the pay grade coefficient assigned based on the results of the certification by the base rate of the 1st pay grade.
In 2026, this figure stands at 3,470 UAH.
Consequently, in June, the minimum salaries excluding additional allowances for the 10th pay grade will range from 6,315 UAH, for the 11th pay grade—from 6,836 UAH, and for the highest in this range, the 14th pay grade—from 8,397 UAH.
However, the actual minimum salary for teachers is significantly higher, as the base amount increases due to additional guarantees from the state.
Mandatory increases in pay include a 40% raise in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 1749, a supplement for working in adverse conditions starting at 2,000 UAH/month in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 1286, as well as a bonus ranging from 5% to 30% for the prestige of the work under CMU Resolution No. 373.
Taking all these factors into account, the real minimum income for teachers in June 2026 will have clearly defined limits for each qualification level.
Teachers with 10 years of experience will receive at least 11,883 UAH, those with 11 years—at least 12,648 UAH, those with 12 years—at least 13,413 UAH, those with 13 years—at least 14,179 UAH, and specialists with 14 years of experience—at least 14,943 UAH.
Additionally, extra years of service or classroom leadership experience may further increase these figures.
