Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of delays in international trains from Poland
Ukrzaliznytsia’s international passenger trains traveling to Ukraine from the Polish cities of Chełm and Przemyśl will experience delays over the next 24 hours. The estimated delay will range from 2.5 to 3 hours.
As noted, disruptions in the Polish railway’s power infrastructure have caused delays for some trains traveling from Warsaw to Chełm and Przemyśl. In light of this, Ukrzaliznytsia, in cooperation with the Polish company PKP Intercity, has decided to ensure connections with trains arriving late.
“This joint decision by the two railways will allow passengers traveling from Poland to Ukraine to continue their journey without missing their connections,” Ukrzaliznytsia explained.
Passengers are urged to listen carefully to announcements at train stations, monitor information boards, and check the latest train delay updates via the link.
Passengers whose journey includes a connecting train within Ukraine are advised to inform the train crew or contact Ukrzaliznytsia via the app, attaching copies of their tickets for the next train.
“Railway staff will ensure that your journey home is as comfortable as possible. Within Ukraine, we will make every effort to reduce delays and, where infrastructure conditions and the security situation permit, we will travel at an accelerated pace,” the company assured.
