Zelenskyy Stated That the Proposal to Meet with Putin Remains Relevant

The offer of a face-to-face meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin remains on the table, and all realistic options for ending the war have “long been on the table” in Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on June 20, emphasizing his readiness to negotiate an end to Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy stated that Russia is not stopping the war, despite having every opportunity to do so.

“The Russians are not stopping the war, even though all proposals on this matter—real formats, real opportunities—have long been on the table for them, and Putin must choose diplomacy and a normal peace,” the president emphasized.

According to him, the proposal for a direct meeting remains on the table.

“Our proposal for a meeting—our proposal to Putin—for a direct and honest conversation in a Ukraine-Russia format with the support of our partners—remains in effect. And it is important that the war ultimately end in peace,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

Earlier, Zelenskyy sent Navrotsky the Order of the White Eagle via Nova Poshta.

Following this, Leonid Kuchma declined the Polish Order of the White Eagle.

Ukraine’s third president, Viktor Yushchenko, also declined the Polish Order of the White Eagle.
