The Office of the President stated that consultations regarding the new head of the Kyiv City State Administration are ongoing

Consultations are ongoing at the Office of the President regarding the candidate for the new head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. No final decision has been made yet.

This was announced by Dmytro Lytvyn, the President’s communications adviser.

According to him, the appointment of a new head of the Kyiv City Military Administration is not expected in the near future. He explained that the search for a candidate is complicated by the large volume of tasks the head of the administration must perform, given the limited authority of the position.

Lytvyn also commented on rumors regarding the possible appointment of Oleg Lyashko or Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. He said that Lyashko sees his future in military service, while Terekhov continues to work in Kharkiv.
