The rain will stop in Ukraine and temperatures will rise to 23°C
A gradual warming is expected in Ukraine in the coming days, though rainy weather will persist for now. Air temperatures in most regions will rise to 20°–23°C, although forecasters are not yet predicting true summer heat.
On May 14, the weather in Ukraine will remain cool, and in some places even chilly. The lowest temperatures are forecast for the northern regions—only +16°…+18°.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected across nearly the entire country, except for the western regions, as well as the Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions.
Temperatures will begin to rise ahead of the weekend. In most regions, the air will warm up to a comfortable +19°…+21°. It will remain cooler only in the northeast of the country, where temperatures are expected to be +16°…+18°.
Rain and thunderstorms will affect eastern Ukraine the most, as well as some areas in the north and west.
Precipitation will continue over the weekend, though mostly dry weather is forecast for the southern and most central regions. Temperatures will rise to 19°–23°C.
Early next week, brief showers will again cover nearly the entire country. At the same time, temperatures will not change significantly—comfortable spring weather is expected across Ukraine, ranging from +19° to +23°.
Forecaster Vitaliy Postrygan notes that stable warming and dry weather should not be expected in the near future.
“According to preliminary forecasts, we shouldn’t count on stable, dry weather until at least May 20,” he said.
On Wednesday, May 14, cloudy weather with some sunny breaks is expected across Ukraine, with rain and thunderstorms in some areas. In Kyiv, daytime temperatures will be around 16–18 degrees.
A slight rise in temperature is expected in Kyiv on May 14. A brief shower is possible in the capital toward evening; overall, the weather will be cool.
