Payments of 1,500 hryvnias to pensioners and vulnerable groups have begun in Ukraine, says Svyrydenko

Starting April 1, Ukraine will begin distributing 1,500 hryvnias as part of a targeted support program for pensioners and vulnerable groups.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram.

According to her, the payments will be received by:

  • senior citizens,
  • people with disabilities,
  • low-income families,
  • recipients of basic social assistance,
  • internally displaced persons among social benefit recipients,
  • large families,
  • single mothers.

“If a person falls into several categories, the payment will be made only once,” Svyrydenko clarified.

The funds will be deposited once in April into bank accounts or via Ukrposhta. No additional applications or requests are required.

The program is designed to support those who are feeling the impact of rising fuel and food prices due to global market fluctuations.

As a reminder, as of the end of March 2026, approximately 4.4 million citizens are receiving monthly payments under the state program “National Cashback.”
