The High Anti-Corruption Court did not change the pretrial measure for Midas case suspect Myronyuk
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has upheld the detention of Igor Myronyuk, one of the suspects in the “Midas” case. Bail in the amount of 85 million hryvnias was set as an alternative to pretrial detention, but it has not yet been posted.
The court upheld the ruling of the HACC investigating judge dated June 23, which extended Mironyuk’s detention period. The suspect currently remains in pretrial detention.
According to the investigation, Igor Myronyuk is suspected of involvement in the activities of a criminal organization, organizing the provision of unlawful benefits to a public official, aiding in the legalization of funds obtained by criminal means, and organizing the abuse of influence.
As law enforcement officials note, Mironyuk appears under the alias “Rocket” in the so-called “Mindich tapes.” At that time, he held the position of advisor to Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
According to investigators, Myronyuk helped a criminal group obtain funds from contractors of JSC “Energoatom.” He allegedly transferred the money to other participants in the scheme, who moved it to the so-called “back office” and added it to the total cash pool.
According to investigators, as a result of illegal activities in the energy sector, the criminal organization received over $112 million in cash. The pretrial investigation into the case is currently ongoing.

As a reminder, NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) announced new charges against a former Energoatom official in connection with the “Midas” case. According to “Suspilne,” citing case materials, the suspect is Dmytro Basov, the company’s former executive director for physical protection and security.
Oleksandr Tsukerman, a defendant in the high-profile “Midas” case, has filed a lawsuit against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Administrative Court of Cassation.
