On October 28, 2026, the High Anti-Corruption Court in Kyiv will hear a case regarding the confiscation of assets linked to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
The hearing is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the court building located at 41 Beresteiskyi Avenue (Courtroom No. 7).
Case No. 991/4643/26 will be heard by a panel of judges.
The case involves a number of real estate properties, including:
- a business center at 7-B Baseina Street in Kyiv
- a business center at 19-B Velyka Zhytomyrska Street
- the “Darnitsa” multifunctional complex at 2/1-A Sobornosti Avenue
- other commercial and residential properties in the center of the capital
According to the prosecution, these assets were registered through straw men.
The investigation concerns the possible illegal origin of the property and its subsequent registration under nominal owners.
If the court issues a corresponding ruling, the property may be confiscated as state revenue.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking sanctions against former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and his son Oleksiy Azarov. This involves initiating the procedure for the forfeiture of assets to the state under the sanctions mechanism. The ministry noted that the relevant lawsuit has already been filed with the court.
Former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov was sentenced in absentia in Ukraine to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
